The Urantia Book - A Demonic New Age "Revelation" (Violates Galatians 1:6-8.)

"The Urantia Book (sometimes called The Urantia Papers or The Fifth Epochal Revelation) is a spiritual and philosophical book that discusses God, Jesus, science, cosmology, religion, history and destiny. It originated in Chicago, Illinois, USA, sometime between 1926 and 1955, but its authorship is unclear. There has been much debate and speculation on how the papers were produced.

"The writers introduce the word Urantia as the name of the planet Earth and state their intent is to 'present enlarged concepts and advanced truth' in an 'endeavor to expand cosmic consciousness and enhance spiritual perception.' Among many other topics, it expounds on the origin and meaning of life, describes humankind's place in the universe, discusses the relationship between God and people, and presents a detailed biography of Jesus."

Good thing the bible gives us a warning about this type of deception:

"I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed." - Galatians 1:6-8.

The Urantia book is dangerous because it:

1. Denies the fall of man. (It says "There has been no 'fall of man.' The history of the human race is one of progressive evolution . . . " (UB-Page 846).

2. Denies the doctrine of Atonement Christ made for our sins. ("All this concept of atonement and sacrificial salvation is rooted and grounded in selfishness. . . . Salvation should be taken for granted by those who believe in the fatherhood of God" (UB-Page 2017).

3. Emphasizes the bible is outdated and inaccurate. ("The Scriptures are faulty and altogether human in origin" (UB-Page 1767)

Satan knows if he can just get people to deny the sacrifice Jesus made on the cross for our sins, he can still take our souls into hell. The Urantia Book is nothing more than a gnostic gospel. Jesus never said anything in secret.

"Jesus answered him, I spake openly to the world; I ever taught in the synagogue, and in the temple, whither the Jews always resort; and in secret have I said nothing." - John 18:20.
