Houston Rapper’s Response to ‘Same Love’ Earns Him Death Threats

*Source: NewsFix

HOUSTON, TX – The surprise mass marriage ceremony of 33 gay and straight couples at the Grammys moved a lot of folks.

But one guy here in Houston was not so touched.

Instead of being moved to tears by all the love, Houston Christian rapper Bizzle was moved to write a response to Macklemore and Ryan Lewis’ song “Same love.”

A sample of the lyrics: “They really pushing hard for this gay thing/and it’s so wicked how they manipulate things/can’t even disagree without them making it a hate thing.”

With this song, “I’m gonna present an opposite side of this thing,” Bizzle says. “You have to be as tolerant as you say you want us to be, you know what I’m saying, with your beliefs.”

Yeah, about that. Turns out not everyone is a fan of Bizzle’s beliefs. He’s received hundreds of angry responses, and even death threats, all of which he’s shared on the internet.

“Everything you can imagine they came at me with,” he says. Every bit of it was worse than anything I said on the record.”

So do the comments scare him enough to stop what he’s doing?

“I’m not really afraid of the keyboard courage or the Twitter muscles a lot of people flex,” he says. “But I keep it in the back of my mind because i do have a family to protect.”

Bizzle explains his views aren’t coming from a place of hate, but rather a place of faith, saying, “I believe that God uses the smallest people to do the biggest things.”

A strong message — that’s fueled even stronger emotion.

Definition Of Confusion: UK Govt To Re-Term ‘Husband’ And ‘Wife’

A man can be a “wife” and a woman can be a “husband,” the UK government has decided, overruling the Oxford English Dictionary and effectively putting an end to the traditional meanings of the words for marriage partners.
The move has been denounced as the vocabulary of “cloud cuckoo land” and “gobbledegook” by critics who believe that the terms ‘husband’ and ‘wife’ should have their traditional meanings preserved.

Updated explanatory notes in The Marriage (Same Sex Couples) Bill being considered by the government is causing it to have to redefine the two terms, “clarifying” what it means.

“‘Husband’ here will include a man or a woman in a same sex marriage, as well as a man married to a woman. In a similar way, “wife” will include a woman married to another woman or a man married to a man,” says the new footnote.

However, the traditional male-only meaning of husband and female-only understanding of wife could return in some cases – to “ensure that gender-specific terms such as ‘husband’ keep their gender-specific effect.”

“The term ‘husband’ will in future legislation include a man who is married to another man (but not a woman in a marriage with another woman); and ‘wife’ will include a woman who is married to another woman (but not a man married to another man) unless specific alternative provision is made,” declares the drafted legislation.

Critics stated that they had anticipated the legal confusion the government would run into while trying to eliminate ‘gender specific’ terms, which have to be introduced as the UK tries to establish gay marriage laws, meaning marriage terms will be ‘outdated.’

“We always knew the government would tie itself in knots trying to redefine marriage, and this shows what a ridiculous mess they’ve created,” a spokesperson for the Coalition for Marriage, which campaigns against the change, told the Telegraph.

“This mangling of the English language shows what happens when politicians meddle with marriage. They’re in cloud cuckoo land,” they said.

Debates over the new definition also sparked irritation before a final decision was made.

“It sounds not merely like gobbledegook but the reversal of the natural and normal meaning of words,”
said Lord Tebbit in Parliament.

Parallels have been drawn in the British media with a recent example of Spain. The socialist government introduced gay marriage in 2005, when it was announced that the following year Spanish Birth certificates would read ‘Progenitor A’ and ‘Progenitor B’ instead of ‘mother’ and ‘father,’ in a move termed ‘Orwellian’ by UK officials.

The practice of gender nonspecific terms has spread far beyond Europe: Ambiguously gendered people were given the option in 2011 of listing their gender on passport applications as ‘X’.

War On Chick-fil-A Gets Government Sizzle.

Mayor of major city goes viral against restaurant chain

ChickfilA-Peece

A scorching letter against Chick-fil-A by the mayor of Boston, Mass., went viral today on Facebook, as the city’s elected leader is making no secret about humiliating the restaurant chain for its opposition to same-sex marriage.

In his message addressed to Chick-fil-A President Dan Cathy, Democrat Mayor Thomas Menino said: “I was angry to learn on the heels of your prejudiced statements about your search for a site to locate in Boston. There is no place for discrimination on Boston’s Freedom Trail and no place for your company alongside it.”

The letter was posted on the Boston’s official community page on Facebook this afternoon, and received more than 74,000 likes, close to 26,000 shares and some 6,000 comments just before 7 p.m.

“We are indeed full of pride for our support of same sex marriage and our work to expand freedom to all people,” Menino wrote. “We are proud that our state and our city have led the way for the country on equal marriage rights.”

“When Massachusetts became the first state in the country to recognize equal marriage rights, I personally stood on City Hall Plaza to greet same sex couples coming her to be married,” he added. “It would be an insult to them and to our city’s long history of expanding freedom to have a Chick-fil-A across the street from that spot.”

It was last Thursday when Menino first mentioned his opposition to Chick-fil-A after the Boston Herald reported the restaurant was scoping out potential locations in Boston. His letter was dated Friday, July 20, but went viral Wednesday afternoon on the social networking site.

The dispute developed after Dan Cathy, whose father, Truett Cathy, founded the $4 billion-plus a year business, gave an interview to the Baptist Press.

“We are very much supportive of the family – the biblical definition of the family unit. We are a family-owned business, a family-led business, and we are married to our first wives. We give God thanks for that,” Cathy said.

In a radio interview, Cathy also noted, “I think we are inviting God’s judgment on our nation when we shake our fist at Him and say, ‘We know better than you as to what constitutes a marriage. ‘I pray God’s mercy on our generation that has such a prideful, arrogant attitude to think we can try to define what marriage is all about.”

See what the biggest companies in the nation are doing to promote homosexuality.

As WND reported yesterday, hundreds of thousands of people across America are pledging to support Chick-fil-A restaurants in the face of an attack on the company because of the CEO’s affirmation that both he and the company support biblically ordained marriage.

The company’s refusal to put its resources into advocating same-sex marriage has drawn the wrath of many progressives, including the Jim Henson Co., which created the Muppets.

A Facebook campaign has been launched by former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee seeking to build support for the chicken-sandwich chain famous for closing its stores on Sundays so employees can attend church if they choose.

Huckabee, a 2008 Republican presidential candidate, invited Americans to join him Wednesday, Aug. 1, for a “Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day.” Some supporters are advocating showing support every Wednesday.

Boston's Democrat Mayor Thomas Menino blasts Chick-fil-A President Dan Cathy in a letter that has now gone viral on Facebook

Reaction to the mayor’s letter among Facebook users runs the gamut on all sides of the issue.

Michael Yockey noted, “Someday, I would like someone explain the connection between fast food and same sex marriage.”

Shirley Stanton of Orlando, Fla., said: “Even though I don’t live in Boston, I am proud of their mayor. Thomas Menino is truly someone Boston should be proud of and praise.”

Jon Untiedt noted: “Sounds like Boston is discriminating against Chick-fil-A’s CEO’s First Amendment rights.”

And Keith S. Brooks, said: “A mayor urging a company to keep its taxes and jobs out of his city is absurd. Keep the personal preferences of ones private life, private. Let the market dictate what people will or wont participate in.But suggesting to a business that the personal feelings of their CEO should be the measuring stick of whether or not they are allowed to conduct business in your city is, at the very least, a seriously slippery slope. I’m from Boston. Yes, they are prideful. They are also knuckle headed. What happens if a strong Christian becomes the mayor of Boston and he decides he doesn’t want Home Depot in the city of Boston anymore because they support gay marriage? Would it be OK for that mayor to suggest the company take its millions of dollars in taxes and hundreds of jobs and kick rocks? Dangerous stuff here. And I have many gay friends, but this kind of grandstanding by a mayor who is looking for sympathy votes for his next election is cowardly and has NO place in an intelligent society.”

Obama Calls Pastors To Explain Gay Marriage Support; Black Churches ‘Conflicted’

After making his historic remarks on same-sex unions last week, President Barack Obama led a conference call with black church pastors to explain his support for gay marriage, the New York Times reports. The call, which was held with "eight or so African-American ministers," occurred about two hours after the president's interview with ABC's Robin Roberts.

Obama explained to them that he struggled with the decision, pastors on the call told the paper, but several voiced their disapproval.

"They were wrestling with their ability to get over his theological position," the Rev. Delman Coates, a Maryland pastor who was on the call, told the Times.

The conference call was part of a quiet effort by the president to control potential political damage caused by his support of same-sex marriage.

According to the Times, Obama phoned "at least one [the Rev. Joel C. Hunter] of the five spiritual leaders he calls regularly for religious guidance, and his aides contacted other religious figures who have been supportive in the past."

Hunter, the pastor of a conservative megachurch, said he wasn't surprised Obama didn't ask him advice before the ABC interview because "I would have tried to talk him out of it."

At services on Sunday, black churches were conflicted about President Obama's support of gay marriage, according to USA Today:

Some churches were silent on the issue. At others, pastors spoke against the president's decision Wednesday—but kindly of the man himself. A few blasted the president and his decision. A minority spoke in favor of the decision and expressed understanding of the president's change of heart.

Bishop Timothy Clark, head of the First Church of God, a large African-American church with a television ministry in Columbus, Ohio, was perhaps most typical. He felt compelled to address the president's comments at a Wednesday evening service and again Sunday morning. He was responding to an outpouring of calls, e-mails and text messages from members of his congregation after the president's remarks.

What did he hear from churchgoers? "No church or group is monolithic. Some were powerfully agitated and disappointed. Others were curious. 'Why now? To what end?' Others were hurt. And others, to be honest, told me it's not an issue and they don't have a problem with it."

What did the bishop tell his congregation? He opposes gay marriage. It is not just a social issue, he said, but a religious one for those who follow the Bible. "The spiritual issue is ground in the word of God." That said, "I believe the statement the president made and his decision was made in good faith. I am sure because the president is a good man. I know his decision was made after much thought and consideration and, I'm sure, even prayer."
