North Carolina House Passes Pro-Life Bill for 72-Hour Abortion Waiting Period.

 The North Carolina state House has approved a bill that would put in place a 72-hour waiting period before an abortion — allowing women more time to find abortion alternatives and choose life for their unborn child.

Republican lawmakers have filed House Bill 465, which would ban healthcare facilities owned by the University of North Carolina and East Carolina University from performing abortions. Additionally, the legislation would increase the required waiting period prior to an abortion from 24 hours to 72 hour.

After a long and emotional debate, the N.C. House on Thursday passed a bill that would make the state the fourth in the nation requiring women to wait three days before getting an abortion.
House Bill 465 passed 74-45, falling largely along party lines and deep and long-standing fault lines.
Republican Rep. Jacqueline Schaffer of Charlotte told members that her bill, which would extend the waiting period from 24 to 72 hours, “empowers women.”
“We truly believe that this is a bill women who are both pro-choice and pro-life can get behind,” she said.

The abortion bill now goes to the Senate. If enacted, North Carolina would join Missouri, South Dakota and Utah in requiring a 72-hour waiting period, according to the Guttmacher Institute, a research and policy center that supports abortion rights. Overall, 26 states require a waiting period, usually 24 hours.

“Seventy-two hours is not asking for too much for something this important,” GOP Rep. Pat McElraft said during the debate. “Why do we not want (women) to have the opportunity to change their minds? Please let women have this opportunity to reach out to pregnancy clinics to guide her … for alternatives.”

“Once conception occurs, you’re talking about the rights of two human beings,” said GOP Rep. Debra Conrad of Winston-Salem. “I want to hear about the rights of these young babies.”

Naturally, abortion proponents oppose the bill.

The vice president of public policy at Planned Parenthood, Melissa Reed, commented on the legislation and said, “This delay, coupled with the additional restrictions, further demonstrates that politicians are attempting to practice medicine with absolutely no understanding of the scope of practice of abortion care.”

She continued, “In reality, these bills have nothing to do with patient safety and are just attempts by politicians to insert their own political agendas into medical care, It is shameful North Carolina legislators continue to sacrifice women’s health in their ideological attempts to take this state backwards.”

As LifeNews previously reported, in 2013 a North Carolina abortion facility was shut down after the
Department of Health and Human Services found that it “present an imminent danger to the health, safety and welfare of the clients and that emergency action is required to protect the clients.” The Baker Clinic for Women, located in Durham, failed to perform adequate quality control in blood banking as well as controlled testing on 108 patients that received Rh(D) (Rhesus) testing.

In severe cases, this can be deadly because it can lead to stillbirths. Rhesus can also result in learning difficulties for the child, deafness, anemia, jaundice or blindness.

Graham, North Carolina — Citizens from across the country joined with Campaign to Stop Stericycle (CSS) last week to expose and reprove the medical waste company Stericycle and its incineration of aborted babies in North Carolina.

CSS is working in conjunction with Operation Save America (OSA) to speak out against the medical waste giant, which not only services legitimate medical facilities, such as hospitals, dentists’ offices and outpatient clinics, but is also the premier waste removal service to the abortion industry.

Stericycle reportedly hauls “waste” for nearly 600 Planned Parenthood facilities nationwide, in addition to numerous other abortionists. The items that are used during abortions are collected by the company, along with the fetal remains of the aborted babies themselves. The babies, which are labeled as “pathological waste,” are placed into red plastic bags, which are then inserted into tubs or boxes and hauled away by Stericycle in leased trucks.

According to individual state laws, fetal remains must either be incinerated or buried. Since abortion facilities will not purchase cemetery plots for the children that they abort, they instead utilize medical waste disposal companies like Stericycle to have the aborted babies incinerated — burned into ash.

Stericycle operates nearly a dozen incineration plants across the nation, as well as a number of autoclave facilities. One of its most prominent incineration plants is located in Haw River/Graham, North Carolina. Stericycle hauls medical waste from over 20 states along the East Coast to Haw River, including the aborted babies that have been disposed of in the region.

An audio file on the CSS website features a Stericycle employee explaining the packaging and disposal protocol for abortion facilities, and outlines that the discarded “tissues…and human parts” will be shipped to Haw River to be burned with tons of medical garbage.

“You’ll get stickers marked for ‘incinerate only;’ the waste will be incinerated,” Stericycle told CSS in an undercover investigation. “It will be incinerated, so it will be hauled over to Haw River.”

“It is sick beyond words that businesses like Stericycle are profiting from collecting murdered children and incinerating their bodies with the trash. What’s more is the abominable child killing that has been tolerated in our nation for [39] years,” CSS campaign director Michael Marcavage stated. “While many have focused their efforts on overturning Roe v. Wade by putting their trust in corrupt judicial systems and politicians, they have neglected the necessity of pursuing those that enable abortion mills to operate in the first place,” he added. “Without Stericycle and companies like it, the abortion industry would collapse.”

CSS and OSA joined together Tuesday outside of Stericycle’s Haw River incineration plant and in downtown Graham to stand against the company’s incineration of aborted babies and its refusal to stop assisting the abortion industry.

“It takes a village to kill children in America. Tragically, Stericycle is a major inhabitant of this complicit village,” stated Flip Benham, the national director of Operation Save America.

“Our message is clear. Stericycle must end this unholy alliance with the death merchants of America,” added assistant director Rusty Thomas. “If the abortion industry cannot dispose of these children, they cannot kill these children. It is that simple.”

The groups recently sent a mailer to every household in Haw River to inform them of what it calls Stericycle’s “collaboration in the abortion holocaust.” The mailer included a letter and a brochure that outlined evidence pointing to Stericycle’s deep ties to the abortion industry.

“Did you know that aborted babies from over 20 states are being transported to Haw River to be incinerated with tons of medical garbage? Did you ever think that your community would be one of the nation’s hubs for burning ‘unwanted’ children in America? It’s happening,” the letter states. “Four thousand preborn babies are murdered every day in America, and Stericycle, the nation’s leading medical waste company, is the go-to service for cleaning up after the act – including right here in your town. At 1168 Porter Avenue in Haw River, Stericycle burns aborted babies and the items used in killing them, billowing out their remains throughout the community in clouds of smoke.”

A press conference was held at ten o’clock Tuesday morning to expose and rebuke the medical waste company publicly.

Christian fundamentalists Operation Save America went to visit Dr Ron Virmani in North Carolina

A doctor, who was confronted by anti-abortion campaigners, told them that 'aborting ugly black babies' was a service to the taxpayer.

Doctor Ron Virmani was captured on camera last month by pro-life Christian group, Operation Save America.

In the short clip, the man who is holding the front door ajar, can be heard saying: 'Don't put pregnancy and adoption on the taxpayers.'

A campaigner then asks: 'What does that got to do with the babies?'

Virmani replies: 'Don't put it on the taxpayers, okay? I don't wish to pay for the baby with my money.'

A female campaigner then asks the doctor: 'You would rather profit off of those children?'

He responded: 'No, no, no. I am not profiting. I, as a taxpayer, do not wish to pay for those babies to be born and brought up and kill those people in Colorado.'

He allegedly is referring to the mass shooting in Aurora, Colorado where 12 people and an unborn child died and 58 people were injured.

The doctor continues: 'Go ahead and pay for them. Let me see you adopt one of those ugly black babies.

The church members respond: 'If you tell us, we'll adopt them.'

The 37-second clip has been viewed 16,000 times on YouTube. Operation Save America is a fundamentalist, conservative Christian group based in Dallas, Texas who campaign against abortion.

Day Gardner, president of the National Black Pro-Life Union, expressed outrage over the doctor's comments.

He said in a statement: 'It’s all too obvious that he had a particular disgust for black babies and therefore has no problem killing them.'

An audio recording of an exchange between a teacher and a student at North Rowan High School in North Carolina serves as a reminder that the school system is becoming a training ground for teaching kids to be subservient to the state while indoctrinating them into thinking that the First Amendment doesn’t exist.

The clip features a conversation in which teacher Tanya Dixon-Neely tells students that it is a criminal offense to criticize Barack Obama and that they could be “arrested” for doing so.

The discussion centers around a story about Mitt Romney bullying a kid five decades ago. A student responds by pointing out that Obama admits in his own book, Dreams from My Father, that he also bullied a girl when he was in school, and that both Obama and Romney are “just men.”

Dixon-Neely then begins yelling about how “disrespecting the President” is an arrestable offense.

“Let me tell you something, you will not disrespect the president of the United States in this classroom,” she says, adding, “Do you realize that people were arrested for saying things bad about Bush? Do you realize you are not supposed to slander the president?”

The student correctly dispels Dixon-Neely’s nonsense by pointing out that the First Amendment permits the most vigorous criticism of the President.

“You would have to say some pretty f’d up crap about him to be arrested,” says the student. “They cannot take away your right to have your opinion … They can’t take that away unless you threaten the president.”

When the student refuses to be intimidated into agreeing with the teacher, Dixon-Neely states, “OK, do I have to get my cane?”

“As a social studies teacher, I cannot allow you to slander any President,” she adds.

According to Breitbart News, “The student had asked his friend to record the discussion to “prove to his parents what he has been trying to tell them for some time. The teacher in this video has a long history of pushing a liberal agenda, by shouting down students. She is very intolerant of other points of view that she does not share. The atmosphere at this school is not very conducive to opposing views.”

The school reacted to the controversy by claiming it represented “a learning experience,” and failed to indicate whether it would take any action against Dixon-Neely for her blatantly misleading and downright dangerous teaching.

As we have previously documented, there are numerous examples where children are being made to chant songs worshipping Obama in schools, perform military-style parades in his honor, or watch propaganda videos about celebrities affirming their allegiance to him.

In September 2009, the White House announced it would stream an Obama speech directly into government schools. The speech was accompanied by lesson plans issued by the Department of Education which instructed teachers to ask children “Why is it important that we listen to the President and other elected officials.”

This was merely a continuation of the cult of personality that has been built up around Obama with the aid of the education system.
